(A Home Within)
My passion as a therapist stems from my deep roots as a forever listener, supporter and lived life experiences. Within my own complex background, I have always been the person, people turned to when they needed a listening ear. I worked throughout my lifetime to understand the balance between listening and gently guiding people when it felt right in the moment. I learned from a young age, the importance of sitting with our feelings as a way to process and allow those feelings to move through us so they can be released.
I remember the first time I sat with a mother, whose son was dying. Holding her hand in that moment, being present and feeling her feelings with her was an important part of the grieving process. I learned in that moment sometimes we need a hand to hold or someone to sit with us as we go through a difficult lmoment.
Working with me as a therapist is more than having someone listen to you. I will be present with you for the moments when you need someone to not only hear you and understand you but support you through your darkest and lightest of moments.
When I work with families, I believe it is important to support the family as a whole. I have learned over my 10 years as a therapist, specifically working with complex trauma. When one person goes through something there is a ripple effect. Each individual family member has their own experience that needs support. I collaboratively work with the individual who experienced the trauma and support the family to allow for deeper understanding and healing. The family needs process and to heal not just the individual.
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. I own a practice driven by empathy, emotional connection and a purpose to support you on your healing journey.
I have been working as a complex trauna, child and family therapist since 2016. I trained as a marriage and family therapist with a focus in Art Therapy. I worked for pathways counseling which is part of Girls Inc. in Okaland, California for two years before returning to Boston. I worked as an in home therapists, for a group practice that specializedin trauma therapy with children and families before opening my own practice.
In 2022 I created my private practuce a home within which strives to support people feeling calmer and at peace within themselves. Within the therapeutic process with me, you may develop a sense of comfort and calm amidst your current emotional distress or challenge you are facing. You will work on processing experiences that caused you pain, break unhealthy habits to become a healthier, happier, more authentic self. You will learn how to feel uncomfortable and comfortable within yourself. You will learn to unconditionally love your whole self, including the wounded, hurt parts. You will break habits that cause you to feel stuck or are unhealthy. This process is about radical acceptance and love for yourself. Through your growth and healing, you will see your family start to heal.
I thrive on the complex cases that deserve more attention. When working with me you will be challenged, listened to and met with unconditional empathy and undonditional acceptance.
Within yourself, you already have all you need to process, heal and thrive.
